On 28th July at 4.30pm The Forge in Camden will be hosting Americarnage, the critically acclaimed podcast hosted by some of Britain’s leading US Sports broadcasters.
The show was nominated for Best Sports Podcast in the 2011 Podcast Awards, and is a regular fixture on iTunes Recommended List, and charted in the top 5 on iTunes in 2012. Taped in Camden Town, Americarnage, covers not only American sports – NFL, MLB, MBA and NHL - but also American culture, current affairs and pop culture, and features special guests from comedy, television and film.
The Americarnage team is made up of Mike Carlson (NFL analyst for Channel 4 and BBC TV); Dan Louw (author, TV producer and stand comedian); Nat Coombs (TV host and journalist for ESPN; host of Major League baseball & NFL Live on BBC Five Live Sports Xtra); and Harry Holgate (producer and editor of Americarnage and news, sport, comedy and drama productions)
Special guests for the event will include stand-up comedian Tom Bell as the official sideline reporter as well as comedian Marek Larwood, who’s impressive CV includes the BBC Three sketch show, Rush Hour and being nominated for the Edinburgh Comedy Awards
