All Ireland Run For Your County 5 and 10k Run

It is the first annual All Ireland Run for Your County 5k and 10k

On 20th October 2013 at 10am [registration from 8.45am] Mind Yourself are inviting people to don their county colours on Clapham Common and compete in the first ever All Ireland Run for Your County 5k and 10k [with a 2k run for kids]. It costs £15 to enter the 5k run, £25 to enter the 10k event and £5 for the kids 2k run. If people want to raise more funds then this will be welcome also.

The concept is simple. Register yourself on the race website, nominate the county you’re running for, get training, pull on your county colours and then run, jog or walk 5k or 10k. The county with the best average time will win, so it could even be Louth or Leitrim rather than the usual contenders!

We realise that a large number of people didn’t have the good fortune to be born in Ireland but are Irish by descent, at heart and in spirit. So in addition to the 32 counties we have created a few honorary Irish counties for the day including County London, County Rest of GB, County USA, County EU and County Rest of the World. So wherever you were born you can choose to run for any of the 32 counties or the 5 honorary ones.
