The Invisible City

THE INVISIBLE CITY is everywhere.   

It is everybody whose path you cross but never meet, everything you see but never notice and everything you hear but never listen to. All around us there is an urban landscape of sound, people and action unfolding in a continual drama. 

The event is a series of linked mini-events that aim to, through artistic interpretation, promote a sense of awareness of our urban surroundings. These events include:

• A specially curated selection of short films
• Short talk by an expert on sound and city soundscapes
• Optional sound-walk
• Live music and sound art performance
• Installations of projection, sound, video, music and photography to peruse in the venue atrium
• Followed finally by a complimentary drinks reception
