Following last year’s roaring success, award-winning Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is back with The Buffalo Bourbon Empire in Seven Dials to celebrate London Cocktail Week 2013.

Located in the heart of London’s vibrant West End, this year’s pop-up channels the spirit of 1960s Americana and the world of the ruthlessly competitive men and women of Madison Avenue advertising; the Mad Men. From the sharp suits, to the retro decor, to the classic American cocktails on offer, Buffalo Trace will transport you back to the world of 1960s New York advertising. So step inside The Buffalo Bourbon Empire, and just like Don, prop yourself on a stool, loosen your tie and order yourself a Buffalo Manhattan.

RSVP to [email protected] with your name, number of guests and preferred date or at buffalotrace.co.uk/empire

While listening to the soulful sounds of Ella Fitzgerald, Marlena Shaw or Ann Peebles, choose between a range of Buffalo Trace cocktails inspired by the Mad Men era, including the Manhattan. This complex drink involves fortifying Buffalo Trace with vermouth and bitters to create a classic American cocktail, best served sweet but also available perfect or dry. Other drinks available on the cocktail menu include Blood and Sand, a traditional American cocktail using Buffalo Trace, cherry herring, sweet vermouth and orange juice served in a coup and a refreshing ‘Fred Collins Fizz’, the vintage cocktail that includes Buffalo Trace triple sec, lemon juice and gomme topped with ginger ale served in a high ball glass.

Cocktails from £4 for London Cocktail Week wristband holders during London Cocktail Week (£7 without) from 5.30pm – 10pm.

While embracing the nostalgia of the decade, guests will be able to learn a thing or two with bourbon-tasting masterclasses from industry expert and Buffalo Trace Master Blender, Drew Mayville. Guests will also have the chance to talk to award-winning bartenders who have created Buffalo Trace barrel-aged cocktails. Limited numbers for the master-classes are available at 6.30pm daily.
