Meet at Ealing Broadway Station at 10.10am for the longer walk. We take the train for a 10 minute ride to South Greenford Station with views of the autumn countryside and Wembley Stadium. The route takes us through Perivale Park towards the River Brent and the Brent River Park. We will take the steps down to the riverside path if it is not too muddy underfoot. Remember to wear good shoes!

Around 10.50am, we arrive at the second meeting point, Greenford Bridge. Join us here if you want a shorter walk. Various local buses stop close by (92, 95, 105, 282, E1, E2, E3, E5, E6, E7, E9 and E10). Greenford Bridge is at the junction of Costons Lane and Ruislip Road East (UB6 8RH) formerly famous for frequent flooding.
We continue close to the River Brent in the Brent River Park and emerge into the Brent Lodge Park (known locally as "The Bunny Park") up a flight of broad steps.
David Blackwell of the Hanwell Heritage and Local History Society will be our guide and we reach St Mellitus Church for early lunch refreshments around midday.
This event is in collaboration with Hanwell Heritage & Local History Society.
