Once again, the very best of the Royal College of Music’s string players battle it out in competition for the coveted title “RCM String Player of the Year”.

After many gruelling rounds held at the RCM, violinists Mathieu Van Bellen and Jiafeng Chen; violist, Clare Fox; cellist, Jonathan Bloxham; harpist, Daniel de-Fry; and guitarist Manus Noble have earned the exclusive opportunity to perform at one of London’s most prestigious concert venues: Cadogan Hall (only one minute walk from Sloan Square underground station).

The Royal College of Music continues to flourish as one of the world’s leading conservatoires and has an international reputation for cultivating outstanding string players: the standard demonstrated in this year’s competition is no exception. On Sunday 29 June 2008 at 7pm you will have the opportunity to experience such high calibre performances of works from Tchaikovsky to Wienawski and Piazzolla.

Each young finalist will take their turn in the limelight before a verdict is cast by our special guest adjudicator – and an RCM graduate himself – Julian Lloyd Webber.
